This is just a brief intro to my world of the Children of Forever

– more details to come, as more players make themselves known

The Children of Forever are collectively a race of fae/witchlike people who’ve shared the Earth with the humans for thousands of years. On average they can live four times longer than humans. But like the humans, the Children have a multitude of creation stories of their own, because no one living today knows for certain how they came to be.
Close to two millennia ago – the Children split into two families. Infighting regarding how best to deal with the growing human influence on their people caused the rift.

They split along family lines:

The Immura & The Sioria

The Immura chose to remain in the shadows, they follow a strict code, their laws are immutable. They generally and genuinely despise the humans, believing them to be woefully inferior to themselves.

The Sioria on the other hand live happily among the humans, often welcoming special ones into their families. They strongly believe change is natural and they welcome it eagerly.

High Council – The governing body for all the Children of Forever, consisting of five members – two representatives from both families and one Supreme Unaligned.

The Obscurate – A religious cult that separated itself from both the Immura & the Sioria.

Katac – An extreme faction bent on sparking a war between the two families.

*Shya are individuals who are born with the Mark – a special connection to the, Aten, the great crystal that fuels the Children of Forever’s long lives. Their gifts are unparalleled. They possess magical abilities that are superior and more complex than their peers. Each Child has one or two magical abilities unique to themselves – usually of an elemental nature. Some control weather, some fire. There are healers and there are the Kinetics and less understood, the ones who can control other people’s emotions.
